NOAA Global Real-Time Ocean Forecast System (Global RTOFS)

NOAA's Global Real-Time Ocean Forecast System (Global RTOFS) provides nowcasts and forecast guidance for ocean temperature, salinity, water velocity, sea surface elevation, sea ice coverage, and thickness. The system uses a 3D data assimilation algorithm to update daily and incorporates satellite and in-situ data from multiple sources. The grid resolution is 1/12° with 41 vertical levels.
